Steelers start the new season with a win.

Troy going after the fumble
The point where his knee was injured
Troy watching his offense
Steelers ready to start another season
Jeff kicking the winning field goal in overtime
Go Ben
Farrior getting some action
I'm not sure if this should be legal looks like choking to me poor Hines Ward
It takes 2 Titans to bring down big Ben
The Steelers opened their season against the Titans Thursday night with a 13-10 victory. This was one of the hardest fought games and with it ending in a 10-10 tie they went into overtime where Jeff kicked the winning field goal for the Steelers first season win. Great game both teams played hard, with the Titans kicker missing two field goals and the Steelers kicker getting a good one when it counted the Steelers won a good game. Bummer of the night Troy got hurt and will be out 3-6 weeks.

Poduct of Hannah's bordom

Our house made out of writing paper, staples and a sharpie
side view
The back yard. Slip n slide, swing, kids pool and putting green
I think this is so cute she said she was bored and needed something to do and this is what she came up with. I am glad to see her use her creativity.

New Month Start Over

I found this devotion on Debbie Alsdorfs Design4Living blog and it really spoke to me and I just wanted to share it with you all.

New Month, Start Over….
This month let’s all commit to purposefully committing ourselves into the faithful hands of God.

Truth to Marinade it this month: 1 Peter 4: 19b
“commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.”
Now is the time to make the choice to not only embrace salvation, but embrace the opportunity to live for God and commit myself to my Creator.

Today’s Truth: 1 Peter 4:2,7
“he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do…The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”
I am not to live this month just for my own earthly desires
I am to live this new month in the will of God
I have already lived long enough for me
The end is nearer than it was last month, I must live responsibly
Part of the responsibility is to be sober, clear minded and controlled by the Spirit of God
The bow on the package of this month…must be to love others.

Today’s Prayer
Father, I commit myself to your hands, to your care. I do not want to live for me but for you this month. Thank you for July 2009 and may my life be a praise and blessing to your heart this month. Only in you is it possible. I put my hope in your Grace!

Hannah decorated the Bears cake

This year for Fathers Day Bashas had a day when kids could come and decorate an 8" single layer cake for their dads for Fathers Day for $5. The kids had so much fun and Brian just loved them, he thought it was so sweet.
