A Day at the Beach

Joshua hasn't been to the beach since he was 2yrs old.
At a beach in La Jolla
Mommy & her kiddos
running from the wave with dad
Contemplating if she can out run the wave

He fought the wave and the wave won
No time to put on swim suits they went in clothes & all
runnin from the waves
Our family at the beach in La Jolla

After 5 hours at Sea World we wanted to stop at the beach and relax especially since Joshua hasn't been to the beach since he was 2. The kids were so excited they just jumped right in clothes and all. I told Brian we are such tourist walking on the beach carrying our shoes no towels no swimsuits and the kids playing in the water in their clothes and me with my camera taking pictures of everything they did. We had so much fun the kids didn't want to leave we finally agreed to take them back some day in the future so they agreed we could leave. This was the last part of our weekend and it ended on a great note. We love the beach.

Happy 5th Birthday Joshua

May 12,2003 Joshua was born 7lbs 14oz and 18 1/2 inches long.
May 12, 2008 my 5yr old son
With tears in my eyes as I look at his pictures the day he was born I am rejoicing that 5 years later I have a very energetic, healthy, funny, talented busy son. We are blessed beyond all comprehension.
"Lord I thank you for this bundle of energy you have given Brian and I he brings us so much joy, laughter and sometimes tears. He is our gift from you and we have cherished every minute of his 5 years. Please continue to give us wisdom on how to raise and discipline Joshua. Thank you for allowing me to stay home with him and create such wonderful memories over the last 5 years. Bless our son today Lord and I pray he has a very happy memorable birthday. Thank you for the gift of our son Joshua Payton Millage."
We love you our sweet sweet son.

Happy Mother's Day To Me

We decided to have lunch at home today (homemade spaghetti & Italian Sausage& garlic bread) and go out for dinner when the crowds were gone so we ended up at TGI Fridays and we were still so full from lunch we settled on appetizers & dessert.
The wonderful man who gave me my children and made today possible for me (He rocks!)
My amazing funny kids who made today very special. Hannah gave mommy a gold heart necklace with diamonds around it and Joshua gave me solid gold heart shaped earrings.
This was our dessert. Hot brownie with ice cream on top and hot fudge & Carmel all over it. YUMMY! It took Brian, Hannah & I to eat it, it was very rich.
This is what it looked like when we were done. Today was a great day, I love being a mommy.
As I sit here and reflect on my wonderful day I can't help but remember that 5 years ago today May 11,2003 I was celebrating Mothers Day and preparing for a c-section the next day to give birth to Joshua and today I find myself celebrating Mothers Day preparing for Joshua's 5th birthday tomorrow. Five years goes so fast my baby is growing up.

Happy Mothers Day Mom

Happy Mothers Day Mom I love and miss you.

God's Girls Rejoice Luncheon

Tammy, Julie & Julie
Signing in the ladies (thanks Rebecca & Toni)
Poster of pictures form the last ladies luncheon & bible study
Decorating & getting ready
One of our yellow tables there were also pink tables. The plaques were gifts for each lady they said Rejoice in the Lord.
We had a great boutique set up in the back of the room with so much fun stuff, a great place to shop for those last minute mothers day gifts.
Julie, Andrea and I sang (it was fun worship especially the gospel song)
Then our speaker came out in character and spoke to us from the point of the woman at the well and she told us of the day she met the Lord there. She did such an amazing job, it was a very nice lunch. the food was so yummy too and the most wonderful gourmet cookies for dessert.

Only 3 more days until the big "5"

We went to Red Robin for dinner to use Joshua's free birthday certificate
He was so excited that he turns "5" in three days
Then they showed up with balloons and ice cream and began to sing and he was quite taken back
The manager and all the servers came over sang their hearts out
Joshua was one very happy camper tonight

Hannah passed her swim lessons

Hannah swimming out to her instructor
They had them jump off the diving board into the deep water
Then the instructor grabbed them pointed them to the side of the pool and made them swim
Here she is with her card from the red cross and her certificate
Hannah with her swim instructor. He was such a good teacher and the whole class just loved him. We start session 2 on May 31st every Saturday for 6 weeks. We are on our way to knowing how to swim well. Joshua starts session one in July.
