Hannah meets her teacher

Hannah's new seat for the 3rd grade
Here's her cubby and some of her books for the 3rd grade
This is her teacher Miss Tenerovich
I love the creativity of all the teachers
My daughter is an orange crayon

Tonight was Hannah's turn to meet her teacher. She was very sweet and very young. (I am old enough to her mom too) This is her first time teaching she just graduated from Michigan and moved here to be a teacher at Rosefield. This is the first year Hannah has kids in her class that she already knows, she is very happy about that. I laughed because they have her seated side by side with the boy she got student of the month with last year. Maybe history will repeat itself. Well I guess we are ready to start school next week. Let the school year begin.

A word of encouragement

I received this devotion today and what a great reminder it was to me to be sensitive to someone who might need encouragement. Encouragement only takes a few seconds to give and will bless someone else all day long. Pray that God will show you someone today who might need encourangement and then bless that person.

A Word of Encouragement
I want you to look at a passage of Scripture that helps guide us in what to say, who to say it to, and when and how to say it. Isaiah 50:4-5,"The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to hear as the learned. The Lord GOD has opened My ear; and I was not rebellious, nor did I turn away."First, we need to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit. He will teach us how to speak a word in season to the person who is weary. As it says, "He will awaken our ear."Jesus made it very clear in Matthew, chapter 10 verses 19-20, that the Holy Spirit is quite able to give us the right words to say at the right time. In Isaiah 51:16, God says, "I have put My words in your mouth." In Isaiah 57:19, He says, "I create the fruit of the lips."Chances are there is someone in your world today who needs to be given a word of encouragement. The key is being sensitive and available. Sometimes we are so embroiled in our own struggles that we don't even give a thought to the fact that there may be someone around us who needs encouragement...a coworker, a neighbor, your spouse, your child.I personally think our children need to be given encouragement every day. Like the little boy said, "Daddy, let's play darts. I'll throw, and you say 'Wonderful!'" Children crave affirmation and encouragement. There is someone who you either have contact with now, or you will have contact with, who needs encouragement. And you are God's messenger..

Hannah Montana in 3D

He just couldn't make it
Saturday night my kids couldn't wait to watch Hannah Montana in 3D I spent days looking for the 3D glasses that they were giving out for free and my kids were ready. We went to the house of some friends for a while Saturday night and we raced home so they could watch it this was all I heard about for two weeks, they went to their rooms put on their jammies and got in bed ready to watch Hannah Montana and when we went in to check on them this is what we found. Joshua just couldn't quite make it, it's a good thing they replayed it Sunday.
